If Hollywood ever remakes hip-hop rags-to-riches classic 8 Mile, the obvious choice to replace Eminem is... Timothée Chalamet. We're not joking.

Long before he was stealing hearts and racking up award nominations in Call Me by Your Name and Lady Bird, the 23-year-old actor was actually the freshest MC on the mic. It's just that nobody knew about it!

Like fellow hip-hop great Hamilton before him, Timothée was not throwing away his shot during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show when the host unearthed footage of him rapping as Lil Timmy Tim from his school days.

Have a look at the hilarious and oh-so-charming footage below:

Timothée actually recorded that incredible rap video for a school project, but his teacher shockingly gave him a D grade! (Although Timothée corrected Graham that the hip-hop stylings of Lil Timmy Tim did predate this rap about statistics.)

Rating his flow in hindsight, all Timothée could say was: "Horrible, horrible, bad level. Worst level!"

The actor did want to clear up one of the more confusing aspects of the video, though. You probably noticed all of that pointing he was doing?

"I did it with a friend on a green screen in school," Lil Timmy Tim explained. "I was going to Photoshop my teacher's face in, but I got too lazy.

"It's kinda weird in the video, I'm kinda pointing around and there's nothing!"

Can you believe he got a D for this project? Even if his teacher wasn't impressed, it sure looked like fellow guest and Lady Bird co-star Saoirse Ronan enjoyed it immensely!
