The music producer and singer had a number one hit at the beginning of 2014 with Summer.

But in November of that year he was forced to pull out of a series of shows including a performance at the MTV European Music Awards, revealing he was suffering from 'some heart problems.'

At the time he tweeted: “No EMAs for me this weekend. Got some heart problems. Heading home to see if it can be fixed x."

Harris has not elaborated any further on the course of his heart problems or diagnosis.

Harris split from girlfriend Rita Ora in June 2014 after a year of dating. In 2015 he began dating Taylor Swift. Their relationship lasted about a year.

Speaking about his split from Swift he told British GQ in 2016: “It’s very difficult when something I consider so personal plays out very publicly.

“The aftermath of the relationship was way more heavily publicised than the relationship itself..

“When we were together, we were very careful for it not to be a media circus. She respected my feelings in that sense. I’m not good at being a celebrity.”
