Calvin Harris to reveal all about Taylor Swift breakup in TV special with Alan Carr?

Alan Carr is set to host a brand new celebrity-driven show on Channel 4 – and Calvin Harris has allegedly signed up to be the comedian’s first A-list guest following his split from Taylor Swift.

The British presenter, 40, is reportedly working on a new TV format (working title ‘Alan Meets’), where superstars allow him to follow them around while filming their day-to-day life.

A source told The Sun: “Alan is really excited bout getting his new project off the ground. The idea is that he will travel round the world meeting all sorts of A-list stars, spend quality time with them and show a different side to viewers, while finding out some secrets.”

And it sounds like Alan has already attracted a great guest line-up, as it’s thought that the TV star travelled to Las Vegas, Nevada, earlier this year – around the same time Calvin split with Taylor – to film with the Scottish DJ.

“He went out to Vegas recently where Calvin does his nightclub residency and did some filming with him,” the insider explained. “It was only a test run and the format is in its early stages of development, so it’s yet to be decided whether the Calvin stuff will make the screen, but it was a good start.”

This news comes after it was reported that Alan’s much-loved topical talk show Chatty Man had been axed – claims which the bespectacled funnyman has since denied, instead insisting they’re simply taking a break.

Speaking on The One Show last week, Alan revealed there were plans to continue the show in the future, but it was “resting” for now.

He explained: “I feel like when Chatty Man moved to a Thursday it lost something, it lost a little bit of spark. It feels like a Friday show. So we got offered to go back to a Friday night, a better slot, so I took it. You’ve gotta take these chances.”

Well we certainly think it deserves a second chance.
