A Cambridge fish and chip shop has been named as a finalist for the first ever English Chippy Awards. The Viking, on Milton Road, was included on a shortlist that features venues from across the UK.

The awards aim to recognise and celebrate the best in the industry. Each finalist was chosen based on nominations in a range of categories, including bar, restaurant, cafe, as well as best in each region.

The Viking was one of ten finalists nominated for the 'Best in South' category. It was the only fish and chip shop in Cambridgeshire to be included on the shortlist.
