Cambridge has been named as one of the UK's most expensive nights out. The city has been rated the 3rd most expensive in the county for a night out, being placed behind Belfast and London.
Belfast and London were tied at an average cost of £47.95 for a night out, while Manchester came in third. The average night out for a Mancunian costs £40.50.
The average cost of a pint of beer, a cocktail, a McDonalds meal and a five-mile taxi ride costs people in Cambridge £37.60, according to a study by Vape Globe. People heading out in the city can expect to pay up to £12.55 more for their drinks, food and taxi ride home, compared to the cheapest location for a night out in the country, Kingston upon Hull.

People in the Cambridge spend an average of £5.50 on a pint of beer, the fourth highest price in the country, while a cocktail in Cambridge costs around £8. The most costly part of a night out for people in the city is the price of five miles in a taxi, which is around £16.10 according to the study.
People in Cambridge can also pay up to £1.25 more for a meal from McDonald's compared to cities such as Preston, Brighton and Hove and Southampton. The cheapest night out in the country was Kingston upon Hull – where people can expect to pay £4 for a beer, £8 for a cocktail, £7 for a McDonald's meal, and just £6.05 for five miles in a taxi.
