St Ives residents were asked to leave their homes after 'potentially suspicious' items were found at a property on Monday morning (November 18). There is a cordon in place around Welland Close after police found the items during a warrant.

An Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) team has been deployed to the area to deal with the items. Photographs from the scene show police vehicles around a cordoned-off area.

St Ives residents contacted CambridgeshireLive to say that they had been evacuated from their homes. They said police officers told them they were waiting for the 'bomb squad' to attend.
