Cambridgeshire school bus overturns and lands in ditch with six children inside
A Cambridgeshire school bus has overturned and ended up in a water-filled ditch on Thursday (November 14). Police, paramedics and firefighters were called to Garden Lane, Wisbech at around 5.14pm.
Six school children and a driver were on board the vehicle at the time;. The driver has suffered minor injuries.
All six children have been rescued from the bus and police do not believe they are injured. The road is expected to remain shut to traffic throughout Thursday evening.

In a statement shortly after 6pm, a Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 5.14pm today with reports a school bus had overturned into a water-filled ditch on Garden Lane, at the junction of Leverington Common in Wisbech. Officers are currently at the scene together with firefighters and paramedics, and nearby Station Road is expected to be closed well into the evening.
"The driver of the bus is believed to have minor injuries and will be taken to hospital as a precaution. There were six school children on board, but they have now been rescued from the bus and are not thought to be injured. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes."
