This is the moment revellers fled in panic as gunfire rang out amid a second terror attack in Spain.

Video footage which appears to have been filmed inside a nightclub late on Thursday night shows people fleeing in panic as sirens and gunshots can be heard from outside the venue.

The clip is thought to be the moment police shot and killed five suspected attackers in coastal resort Cambrils, after a car rammed into pedestrians during Spain’s second terror attack in just hours.

Hours earlier, 13 people were killed and many more injured after a van tore through Barcelona’s tourist street Las Ramblas. Three people have been arrested in connection with the first attack.

In the clip, loud club music can be heard in a nightspot before the sound of sirens grows louder.

Six gun shots then ring out over the music and the camera becomes shaky as people begin to turn and run away.

Several people can be heard screaming and someone else swears in Spanish, while another person can be heard yelling “run”.

The country has declared three days of national mourning after the attacks, which began on Thursday evening at around 5pm, or 4pm UK time.

A white Fiat van sped through Las Ramblas, ploughing through pedestrians along a 500 metre stretch. At least 13 people were killed and more than 100 were injured

The driver of the van then got out of the vehicle and fled on foot, leaving a scene of widespread panic, with crowds running in waves away from the area.

Eight hours later terrorists struck in Cambrils, a coastal town and resort 68 miles down the coast from Barcelona, when a gang of five wearing suicide belts rammed into civilians with a car before being shot dead by police. Seven people including a police officer were injured in Cambrils.

Of the six civilians caught up in the Cambrils attack, two were said to be in a serious condition.

Police initially arrested two people in connection with the Barcelona incident, including Driss Oukabir, a 28-year-old Moroccan who is believed to have rented the van. On Friday morning police said they had made another arrest.

Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the Barcelona attack, the deadliest in Spain since more than 190 people died in the 2004 Madrid train bombs.

Authorities have warned that the death-toll may rise, with 15 people receiving treatment for serious injuries.

Prime Minister Theresa May said she was "sickened" by the incident and the Foreign Office was trying to determine if there were British victims.
