Cameras are rolling in the Bradford district once again - and this time the "spectacular" views of Baildon Moor will be featured in a new Channel 4 drama.

Crews will be filming at the beauty spot today for new series The Couple Next Door.

Production company EagleEye, which is responsible for the TV shows, Before We Die and Suspect and Professor T, has partnered with Happy Duck Films for the production.

The series is being filmed between the UK and Belgium, with the Bradford district taking a starring role.

It's described as a "deliciously dark, psychological drama, exploring the stultifying claustrophobia of suburbia and the fallout of chasing your darkest desires".

When Evie (Eleanor Tomlinson) and Pete (Alfred Enoch) move into an upscale neighborhood, they find themselves in a world of curtain twitching and status anxiety.

They soon find friendship in the shape of the couple next door, alpha traffic cop Danny (Sam Heughan) and his wife, glamorous yoga instructor Becka (Jessica De Gouw).

Sam Heughan heads up the cast as Danny who shares a passionate night with Evie, his beautiful but troubled neighbour.

A letter shared with residents said: "We are working closely with Bradford MDC on this project who have been wonderful in supporting us coming to film in such a picturesque setting.

"We will have a number of vehicles needing to film safely on the open road, as well as a scene on the moor that will involve actors on foot. For the safety of the cast and crew, as well as the public, we will be implementing stop/go traffic management positions on the day.

"Traffic will only be held for short periods - we will endeavour to keep traffic flowing as much as possible throughout our time in Baildon.

"We have also kindly been granted permission to close the following car parks for the day in order to facilitate the scenes safely and efficiently: Baildon Moor Parking on Bingley Road, Baildon Strawberry Fields Car Park on Hawksworth Road, Glen Road Parking on Glen Road.

"We understand that Baildon Moor offers spectacular views and is therefore very popular for visitors, dog walkers and ramblers.

"We are so grateful to be able to film in the area and appreciate the disruption that these closures may cause for some people on the day. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused."

Filming began this morning at around 6.30am and will continue until 5.30pm.

Loosely adapted from the Dutch series New Neighbours, the series is written by David Allison (Marcella, Bedlam), directed by award-winning director Dries Vos (Suspect, Professor T), series produced by Jen Burnet, and is executive produced by Jo McGrath, Walter Iuzzolino and Alison Kee.
