Yahoo News Can Lakers take back control of series? Most bettors siding with Nuggets in Game 4
After losing Game 3 of the Western Conference finals to the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday, the Los Angeles Lakers are six-point favorites to bounce back and win Game 4 on Thursday night.
The Lakers lead the series 2-1, but most bettors at BetMGM have their money on the Nuggets to cover the spread for a third straight game. A whopping 86.3 percent of the bets MGM has received for Thursday night’s game have come in on Denver, with 90.6 percent of the money leaning in Denver’s favor as well.
The Nuggets have had an eventful journey to this point. The No. 3 seed in the West, the Nuggets overcame 3-1 series deficits against both the Utah Jazz in the first round and Los Angeles Clippers in the second round to reach this point.
Along the way, the Nuggets have been strong against the spread, covering in 11 of their 17 games. That includes covering in seven of their last nine games — all as an underdog.
The Lakers covered as seven-point favorites in Game 1, but the Nuggets have covered in the last two games. The Lakers were -7.5 for Game 2, but won 105-103. The Nuggets were +6.5 at tipoff for Game 3, but won comfortably, 114-106.

In addition to heavy action on the Nuggets, MGM is hoping for a low-scoring game as 90.2 percent of the tickets and 82.1 percent of the money have come in on the over. The total is listed at 214.5 on BetMGM. So far in the series, the over hit in Games 1 and 3.
Before the beginning of the Western Conference finals, Nuggets games either went under the total or pushed on eight straight occasions, including all seven games of the series vs. the Clippers.
