An image tweeted by a senior Indian Forest Services officer Ramesh Pandey has caught the fancy of netizens. The picture shows a snow leopard hiding somewhere in a large range of snow-capped mountains.
The officer asked his followers on micro-blogging website Twitter to spot the 'phantom cat'. He elaborated that because of their ability to disguise themselves skillfully in thhe environment, they are called the 'ghosts of the mountains.'
