CALGARY, Alberta (AP) _ Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (CNQ) on Thursday reported third-quarter profit of $1.38 billion.
On a per-share basis, the Calgary, Alberta-based company said it had profit of $1.13. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains and stock option gains, were 85 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 72 cents per share.
The oil and natural gas company posted revenue of $4.84 billion in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $4.51 billion.
Canadian Natural Resources shares have declined 23 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 21 percent in the last 12 months.
