Canadian Pacific Holiday Train Returns for First Post-COVID Tour

The Canadian Pacific (CP) US Holiday Train returned to the tracks this November for its first cross-continent tour in three years.

The train tour – which transports musicians for holiday concerts that raise money for local food banks – held only virtual concerts in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, according to the railroad.

Footage from the South Bend Police Department shows the train as it traveled through Indiana on December 2, complete with flashing holiday lights and festive music.

The CP US Holiday Train started its journey from Montreal on November 22, then went to Maine before heading back to Quebec and Ontario. After a December 4 stop in Kansas City, Missouri, it will head back north to Canada, finishing its tour on December 18.

This year’s 168 live performances will feature musicians such as Alan Doyle, Tenille Townes, Mackenzie Porter, and Lindsay Ell.
