Canadian Police Release Footage of Bungled ATM Robbery Attempt

West Shore Royal Canadian Mounted Police released footage related to two separate attempts to steal ATMs from convenience stores in Langford, British Columbia, in early February.

Police requested assistance in identifying the suspects in two incidents, one of which occurred on February 2 and the other on February 9.

In the first incident, police said a suspect was seen on surveillance video securing a cable to a machine at a store on West Shore Parkway and attempting to pry it loose by pulling the cable with his vehicle. The attempt failed after the wires snapped, police said.

In the second, police said two men entered a store on Happy Valley Road in Langford and stole an ATM after struggling to wheel the machine through a door.
