Police were called to reports of a 'huge' cannabis farm in North Staffordshire - but no illegal activity was uncovered. Officers reportedly spent 'days' in the Wetley Rocks area following a tip-off.

But they have confirmed that no plants were found after being alerted last Saturday (January 25). Staffordshire Police have since left the scene.

A force spokesman said: "Shortly before 9am on Saturday officers went inside a building in Wetley Rocks following reports of a suspected cannabis grow. No grow or plants were found inside and no offences were identified. The scene has now been stood down."
