Amanda Milling has held Cannock Chase since 2015 after the Conservative candidate took over from one-term MP Aidan Burley. In the 2017 General Election, she faced competition from UKIP candidate Paul Allen, who is running again in this year's 2024 election.

The constituency was in labour hands for 13 years from 1997. Labour, and the other parties, are hoping to turn the 19,879 vote majority to secure a win.
