Caprice Bourret has spoken about the “terrifying” ordeal she and her family faced after thieves broke in and stole thousands of pounds worth of jewellery from her Ibiza home.

The model and Dancing On Ice star had been out for the afternoon with family and friends when they returned to the property to discover they had been robbed.

Caprice has revealed that herself, husband Ty Comfort, and six-year-old sons Jett and Jax, now find it “hard to feel safe” knowing their home had been targeted.

She also told how one of her sons can no longer sleep alone.

Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, the 48-year-old said: “It was absolutely terrifying for myself and my two sons. One won't sleep without us since the robbery and I keep waking up thinking a creak in the house during the night is another robbery.

“I feel like our private place has been breached and it's hard to feel safe any more.”

She told how it was one of her pals who first uncovered the robbery.

She added: “I remember getting in and something not being right. One of my guests went to their room and came out immediately and said, ‘My Rolex has gone?’ It had been next to the bed My heart sank. I realised we'd been robbed.

“My friends were devastated. I burst into tears. I felt so guilty, so invaded. I felt my sanctuary had been breached. It was terrible.”

The burglary happened when the group left the home for a few hours earlier this month.

She informed local police of the crime and gave officers a statement.

But Caprice admitted the ordeal had “really freaked me and the whole family out” and speculated it was possibly “an inside job” as “someone knew we would all be out”.

Caprice married 54-year-old Comfort in December after ten years together.
