Car burst into flames on busy Scots road as smoke billows in the sky
A vehicle burst into flames on a busy Scots road, sparking traffic delays in the area.
Emergency crews scrambled to the scene on the A96 in Aberdeen just before midday and the fire was extinguished.
The occupants were understood to have exited the vehicle as the fire took hold and it is not yet known if there are any casualties at this stage.

An image from the scene taken by Fubar News shows the vehicle engulfed in flames, with smoke billowing into the air.
Traffic was restricted in the area after the incident, causing delays of up to half an hour.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "We received a call about a vehicle on fire on the A96 at around 11:58am. Two appliances attended and the fire was extinguished."
Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
