Car crashes and occupants flee after dramatic police chase in Gloucester

A dramatic police pursuit in Gloucester saw a car crash and a foot chase. Local officers tried to stop a driver in the Hempsted area at around 9.50am on Tuesday (September 17).

The driver had reacted to spotting the officers and failed to stop for them. A pursuit then took place through Hempsted and towards Cole Avenue.

The vehicle then crashed with a member of the public's vehicle before the occupants fled on foot. A chase ensued but those involved were not found.

Investigating officers are now appealing to the public for information. They are keen to hear from witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage.

Gloucestershire Police said: "Investigating officers are now asking anyone who witnessed the pursuit or has any relevant dashcam or CCTV footage to make contact. Information can be submitted by completing the following online form and quoting incident 110 of 17 September."
