Car driven at 16-year-old in Glasgow Springburn after mounting pavement

A probe has been launched after a car was reportedly mounted the pavement before being driven at a teenage boy.

Officers were called to Avonspark Street in Springburn at around 6.25pm on Tuesday, September 17, after the alarm was raised.

It is understood that the 16-year-old boy was not injured during the incident.

Police say that enquires are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.25pm on Tuesday, 17 September, 2024, we received a report of a car driving on the pavement towards a 16-year-old boy on Avonspark Street, Glasgow. He was not struck by the car and no one was injured.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
