Car 'driven at child riding bike' outside school as police appeal for witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses after reports a car was "driven at a child riding a bike" outside a school. Police said the incident happened outside Maes y Gwendraeth school, Heol y Parc, Cefneithin at about 7.30pm on May 10.

A car, described as an older-style blue convertible Saab, was reported to have driven at a child riding a bike who was travelling in the opposite direction. No physical contact was made, and the child was not injured.

Dyfed Powys Police said they have carried out all other lines of enquiry, and are now appealing for anyone with information, or dash cam footage, to get in touch. For the latest Welsh news delivered to your inbox sign up to our newsletter

A spokesman for the force said: "Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating an incident that occurred outside Maes y Gwendraeth school, Heol y Parc, Cefneithin at about 7.30pm on May 10. A vehicle, described as an older-style blue convertible SAAB, was reported to have driven at a child on a bike who was travelling in the opposite direction.

"No physical contact was made, and the child was not injured.
