Car driver rushed to hospital with serious injuries after crash with van in Wickford
A car driver was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Wickford yesterday afternoon (November 28). Emergency services were called to Nevendon Road, a major route into Basildon and on the A127, following reports of a crash.
The incident was first reported at around 2.30pm in the afternoon. It was reported the crash occurred between a car and a van.
The road was closed for around three hours while emergency services worked at the scene. The driver of the car was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Essex Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward. A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "We were called to reports of a collision between a car and a van in Nevendon Road, Wickford, at just after 2.30pm yesterday afternoon (Thursday 28 November). The road was closed for a number of hours while emergency services worked at the scene.
