Car flips over in Yorkshire street after 'sliding on black ice'

A car flipped onto its roof after 'sliding on black ice' in Bradford.

Emergency services were called to Chat Hill Road, Thornton, at about 8.20am. Paramedics attended but the driver was not taken to hospital. The crash only involved one car and is being treated as an ambulance-only collision.

There were concerns from eye-witnesses who speculated the car may have 'slid on black ice'.

A Yorkshire Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received an emergency call at 8.25am this morning (Thursday 21 November) to report a road traffic incident on Chat Hill Road, Bradford. One ambulance was dispatched to the scene, but no patients were conveyed to hospital."

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 8.20am to Chat Hill Road to a one-vehicle collision. One person was checked over by the ambulance. It's now being treated as a damage only collision."
