Car interior dumped at roadside in 'absolutely shocking' fly-tipping incident at Scots beauty spot
An unusual fly-tipping incident saw the interior of a car dumped by the side of the road at an Ayrshire beauty spot.
Believed to be from an Audi, the vehicle’s front and back seats as well as four door interior door panels were left on the Dalcairne Falls road near to Dalmellington last week.
Doon Valley independent councillor Drew Filson took it upon himself to clear the site on Monday, January 6 so walkers can continue to enjoy the area.

Cllr Filson said the incident was “absolutely shocking” and complained that it probably cost the fly-tippers more in petrol to dump the car interior in the middle of the countryside than it would have to have East Ayrshire Council collect the waste.
Up to three items can be collected by the council’s bulky uplifts service for £15.93.
Speaking to Ayrshire Live, Cllr Filson said: “I got a notification from Willie Hogg who runs WHS fencing. When he sees any flytipping, he picks it up and highlights it or he contacts me and I’ll get it uplifted by the council.
“Sometimes I just go and do it myself because rubbish collects rubbish. The quicker you can get it uplifted, the better.
“At this time of year, when the council are just getting back, I have a wee van myself so I popped out and got it. Luckily enough, I can dispose of it myself.
“It was the whole inside of a car, an Audi car. Two front seats, a back seat and four internal door panels.
“It was on a Dalmellington beauty spot where people are walking every day. It’s absolutely shocking.
“I just wish you could catch these people.
“The best of it is, all you have to do is phone 01563 554 400 and go to option six. You can get three items uplifted for £15 or split it with your neighbour and it’s £7.50 each.
“It’s nothing. It’s cheaper than the petrol to go and dump it off in the countryside.”
East Ayrshire Council was contacted for comment.
