Car Narrowly Avoids Oncoming Train After Ignoring Lights at Level Crossing

A car narrowly avoided an oncoming train after ignoring red lights at a level crossing near Barrow-in-Furness, England, on November 5, Network Rail said.

The railway infrastructure company released the footage from the Park House Farm level crossing on November 11 as a safety warning to drivers.

Chris Jackson, regional director at Northern, said: “It is only through good fortune that this incident did not result in something far more serious. It is vital that road users and pedestrians respect crossings and follow all instructions to ensure they are used safely.” Credit: Network Rail via Storyful
