Car skids off road and down bank after trying to avoid scooter in eastern China

A car skidded down a 9-metre-high road bank after trying to avoid a scooter in eastern China. The CCTV video, filmed in the city of Shengzhou in Zhejiang Province on March 27, shows a speeding car suddenly changing its direction to avoid a scooter running a red light. However, the car lost control and dropped down a 9-metre-high road bank. A passenger reportedly climbed out of the car by himself and was not injured seriously. Firefighters saved the trapped motorist named Shen after around half an hour and he suffered fractures to his back. According to reports, Shen was in a rush to get his child to school and ran a yellow light and the scooter ran a red light. Shen took primary responsibility and the scooter rider took secondary responsibility for the accident, reports said. The video was provided by local media with permission.
