Cardiff City manager Erol Bulut remains in charge of the Bluebirds ahead of Leeds United's visit this weekend, despite rumours of planned change at the South Wales club.

Bulut took charge of training on Monday after talk that he would not be present, with Cardiff bottom of the table after just five games. Daniel Farke brings his Leeds side to the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday, looking to get back to winning ways after their 1-0 defeat to Burnley on Saturday.

But they will face a City side under pressure to perform after a tough start to the campaign. They also lost 1-0 last weekend, going down to Derby County, meaning they have only scored one Championship goal all season.

Cardiff have also lost 5-0 to Burnley, 2-0 to Sunderland and 2-0 to Middlesbrough, with their solitary point coming in a 1-1 draw with Welsh rivals Swansea City. It means the pressure has mounted on Bulut, with rumours that he would not be taking training after talks over future proved to be misguided.

He opted not to fulfil his post-match media duties following the defeat to Pride Park, which only added to the speculation. They did have some success this season with a 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Bristol Rovers, but were then knocked out in the second round after a 5-3 encounter with Premier League Southampton.

Our sister title Wales Online report that Bulut's position is unlikely to change this week, but a defeat to Leeds United this weekend will serve to heap more pressure on the club.
