Cardiff are looking to move off the foot of the Premier League table when they welcome Fulham to the Welsh capital this afternoon.

Fulham have shipped eight goals in their last two matches, leaving them just two points off the bottom three.

Team news

Cardiff midfielder Joe Ralls begins a three-match ban at home to Fulham and is set to be out even longer.

Ralls chipped a bone in his knee during the 1-0 defeat to Tottenham he was sent off in, and he could be out until after the next international break.

Midfielder Aron Gunnarsson (knee) and back-up goalkeeper Alex Smithies (shoulder) are available but Cardiff are short on strikers, with Danny Ward ruled out by a knee injury and Gary Madine struggling with a virus.

Fulham will be without Joe Bryan and Tom Cairney. Bryan remains sidelined with a hamstring injury, while Cairney is short of match fitness.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah could yet feature as he nears a full recovery from a dislocated shoulder.
