Carlo Ancelotti has already told Newcastle United what they'll get from Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has already told Newcastle United ust what they'll get from Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The Magpies have been linked with a move for the Everton frontman, who is entering the final year of his contract at Goodison Park.

The former England striker had another injury-hit season, but scored seven Premier League goals in 32 appearances for Sean Dyche's side. However, with transfer funds tight for the Toffees this summer, and they could examine any options to bring in income to allow Dyche to strengthen elsewhere.

Newcastle are believed to be looking for a right-sided forward, with Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson the current striker options, however, reports have linked the Magpies with a cut-price deal. Calvert-Lewin could be available for around £25m, but with United's budget also tight, it's debatable whether they would be willing to invest, especially given his injury record.

Under former boss Ancelotti, Calvert-Lewin enjoyed one of his most successful campaigns in the Premier League, scoring 16 goals for the Blues in the 2020/21 campaign.

"Calvert-Lewin - and also Richarlison - did fantastic work for the team," Ancelotti said following a 1-0 victory over Manchester United, courtesy of a Calvert-Lewin goal in 2021. "I asked them to play vertical and to attack around the back. They did this a lot of times. The goal he scored today is a goal of a top striker.

"It's a goal where the striker prepares his movement and moves at the right time with a lot of speed and then he was cold in front of the goalkeeper. He hasn't scored a lot of goals like this. He's scored most of his goals from crosses or with one touch in the box. This is a goal of a top striker."
