Caroline Flack’s boyfriend Lewis Burton has confirmed the pair are still together after the former Love Island host was charged with assaulting him last month.

Taking to his Instagram story to quash recent rumours, the retired tennis player and model proved their romantic relationship is far from over by sharing an old photograph of two of them alongside the caption: “We ain’t split. Can’t wait to see you.”

In December, Flack was arrested when it emerged that she had beaten Burton at their Islington home during an alleged fight. At the time, a spokesperson for the Met Police stated that while his injuries were not “serious”, he had been treated by paramedics and taken to hospital.

Flack later pleaded not guilty, while defence lawyer Paul Morris claimed that Burton has “never supported” the case against his partner and sees himself as “a witness” rather than a victim.

It was reported that the couple were also banned from contacting one another and spending time together over the Christmas period.

Both have remained relatively quiet on social media since the incident, and Flack officially stepped down from presenting the aforementioned dating show.

Just a few hours after Burton posted the throwback online, Flack took to her own Instagram account to tell her followers that she’s “going to speak today” about the altercation.

She went on to explain that she is fed up of her loved ones being the subject of “entertainment or gossip” stories.
