Carpool Karaoke: Lady Gaga talks driving tests, Benedict Cumberbatch and wardrobe malfunctions

Hallelujah! Lady Gaga’s Carpool Karaoke with James Corden has FINALLY arrived, and it might just be the craziest edition yet.

The two stars drove through the streets of Los Angeles while modelling a series of her iconic outfits, including her formidable meat dress from the 2010 MTV VMA awards, and belting out some of the singer’s most popular songs.

At one point in the hilarious clip, the Late Late Show host asked Lady Gaga, who reveals she recently passed her driving test, whether she would like to take the wheel of his SUV to showcase her new skills.

However after running into a bit of trouble with swerving and understanding the controls, Corden decided to strap on his safety helmet for protection, as he joked: “I don’t know if I feel safe in this environment.”

In between their renditions of Bad Romance, Poker Face and Perfect Illusion, Lady Gaga discussed her collection of “at least 400 pieces” of Michael Jackson’s clothes, as well as her forthcoming Super Bowl half-time concert.

The pair ended their Carpool Karaoke session with a glorious rendition of Lady Gaga’s latest single Million Reasons, which is taken from her fifth studio album Joanne, and packed full of emotion. (No we’re not crying, YOU ARE)

Following the highly anticipated broadcast, the Late Late Show’s executive producer Ben Winston tweeted: “This one’s special. We’ve wanted this carpool since we started the show. It is all we hoped it would be.”

Corden’s popular Carpool Karaoke series has seen him duet with a number of high-profile names, including US First Lady Michelle Obama, Britney Spears, One Direction and Stevie Wonder.
