Carrie Underwood Calls Out "Loudest Crowd Ever" After Recent Concert

Carrie Underwood might have dozens of American Music Awards, Billboard Awards, and Grammy Awards, but she recently got honored in a whole new way—one that she said she’ll never forget.

In mid-July, the “Before He Cheats” singer jet set to Hawaii for a much-anticipated 2-day musical event—her first ever performances in the state. In honor of her dedication to her Hawaiian fans, top state and county officials dubbed July 18, 2024, as Carrie Underwood Day.

“I hereby proclaim July 18, 2024, to be Carrie Underwood Day,” said Rick Blangiardi, mayor of the city and county of Honolulu, in a pre-concert ceremony honoring Carrie. “With heartfelt Aloha, we thank her for bringing her live shows to Hawaii, and fulfilling the dreams of thousands of fans who have eagerly awaited this opportunity.”

“Your music, kindness, and your remarkable journey—and your unwavering dedication to making the world and Hawaii a better place—has touched countless hearts here in Hawaii,” Governor Josh Green added during the ceremony. “We are truly blessed to have you bring your extraordinary live experience to the people of Hawaii for the very first time.”

“Wow! Last night was awesome at the @blaisdellcenter in #Honolulu,” Carrie captioned a carousel on Instagram. “I’ve consulted with the band and we all agree that is the loudest crowd we’ve ever played for! Waking up this morning with such a full heart! Ready to do it again tonight!!! Let’s gooooo!”

In another post, the “Jesus Take the Wheel” singer reflected on her new honor. “Thank you so much, Hawaii! Yesterday was truly special and a day I’ll never forget,” she exclaimed.

As excited as Carrie was to be honored by Hawaii and to have the opportunity to perform two shows there in Honolulu, her fans were even more thrilled.
