Heavy rainfall from an overnight storm sparked flash flooding in areas of south Texas on June 25, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service of Brownsville said rainfall reached 10 to 12 inches in several counties in south Texas.

The Texas Game Warden said on June 25 that it rescued more than 60 people and 15 pets from the floodwaters. The peak of the storm caused power outages that affected about 37,300 people the morning of June 25, according to American Electric Power, a power supplier in Texas.
