Cars found 'blocking' A53 as police scrambled to smash
Police found two cars involved in a crash were 'blocking' a key Stoke-on-Trent road. Officers were called to Leek New Road through Baddeley Green yesterday.
StokeonTrentLive reported at the time how the collision at the Baddeley Green Lane junction resulted in queues back towards Milton in one direction and The Sportsman pub in the other. Officers at the scene had to wave motorists through.
Today Staffordshire Police have confirmed nobody was seriously hurt. A spokeswoman said: "We were called just before 10am to Leek New Road following reports of a collision.

"Officers attended and found a grey Skoda Taroq and a grey BMW X1 involved in the collision. The vehicles were blocking the road at the junction of Baddeley Green Lane. No one was reported injured. The BMW was recovered from the scene."
It is not believed the force is investigating the collision.
