Cars Partially Submerged as Rain and Floods Continue in South Texas

Flash flooding that began Wednesday, June 20, continued to hit Hidalgo County in southern Texas the following day, with more rainfall expected in Hidalgo County on Thursday, June 21.

The video shows a car that has been stuck from flooding in a parking lot in Mission, Texas.

Several roads have been closed and residents have been asked by the city to stay off the roads, according to local news reports.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for the cities of Edinburg, McAllen and Mission, Texas on June 21. The city of Mission opened a shelter at a parks and recreation department on June 21, according to local news reports.
