Cars trapped on Edinburgh City Bypass as drivers warned 'avoid' due to Storm Bert
Drivers are currently stuck on Edinburgh City Bypass after Storm Bert brought heavy snow to the capital.
Footage taken around 11am on Saturday morning, shows several vehicles at a halt with drivers urged to "avoid" the major road.
It comes as heavy snow triggered huge disruption across Edinburgh and the Lothians with many road accidents already been reported by police.

Images from the city bypass show a van and around five cars stuck in the wintry conditions as a blanket of snow covers the road.
Issuing a statement on social media, Police Scotland said: "After the recent weather warning and continued cold weather into the weekend, please be careful when driving through Edinburgh.
"This mornings snow and ice has resulted in several minor traffic accidents across the City which our officers are currently dealing with.
"As a result there is considerable traffic disruption to Drum Brae/Clermiston area and at the Straiton juntion on Edinburgh City Bypass. As the snow continues, please consider whether travelling is necessary and if driving, please be careful."
