Yahoo News Cartoonist Wiley Miller fired by newspaper over ‘disgusting’ hidden message to Donald Trump
A cartoonist has been dropped by a US newspaper after he wrote a “disgusting” hidden message to Donald Trump.
Wiley Miller placed the message in a corner of his Non Sequitur cartoon, which was published by the Butler Eagle newspaper in Philadelphia on Sunday.
The message read: “We fondly say go **** yourself Trump”.
The Butler Eagle has since apologised for publishing the cartoon, saying that it will no longer run Mr Wiley’s strip.

Non Sequitur is distributed to more than 700 newspapers.
On Twitter, Mr Wiley posted a link to the cartoon, and told readers to find the “Easter egg from Leonardo Bear-Vinci”.
In an article titled, “Loose lips sink strip: cartoonist fired for curse”, the Butler Eagle apologised for not spotting the hidden message.

Publisher and general manager Ron Vodenichar said Mr Miller had lost “his place in the Eagle’s Sunday comics”.
“Neither the Butler Eagle nor any other newspaper that includes this strip had an opportunity to remove it even if they had discovered it before distribution,” said Mr Vodenichar.
“We apologise that such a disgusting trick was perpetrated on the reading public. The Butler Eagle will discontinue that comic immediately.”
