Casemiro's future at Manchester United continues to be unclear ahead of the start of pre-season training. The midfielder is one of the players expected to be sold this summer ahead of the 2024/25 season.

After joining the club in 2022, at the start of Erik ten Hag's tenure, the Brazilian midfield anchor has been an ever-stay in the starting XI. However, his form in the latter part of last season led to doubts over his capability to perform at the highest level.

A move to Saudi Arabia has been highly tipped with him reportedly on Al-Nassr's radar to reunite him with Cristiano Ronaldo. Now, ahead of the start of pre-season, it has been reported that his exit is a 'concrete possibility'.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Saudi Pro League clubs remain in contact with his camp to discuss terms of a potential move. The journalist has also claimed that United continue to be open about letting him go as they plot to sign a new midfielder.

On the topic of midfielder targets, Man United face stiff competition from Manchester City in the race to sign Joao Neves. The Benfica star has been on United's radar for some time and their interest has only intensified since the transfer window opened.

Portuguese outlet O Jojo (via SportWitness) reported on Sunday that the English champions had registered an interest in him due to the possibility of losing Kevin De Bruyne. The report does state that United have 'taken concrete steps' to sign the midfield prodigy.

As has been the case all window, Benfica remain adamant in holding out for his €100m (£84.4m) release clause.
