Cash machine raid at Wolverhampton Post Office as three arrests made
Three men have been arrested after an attempted raid of a cash machine at a Post Office. The ATM machine was raided on Mount Road in the Lanesfield area of Wolverhampton on October 7.
A car believed to be connected to the incident was stopped by officers shortly afterwards and three men - aged 25, 46 and 50 - were arrested on suspicion of theft. The 50-year-old was further arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs while the 46-year-old was also detained on suspicion of driving without insurance.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Three men are in custody this morning after a cash machine was damaged during an attempted theft in Lanesfield overnight. Officers were called after the ATM at the Post Office on Mount Road was targeted and in the early hours, our officers on patrol stopped a car on Mount Road believed to be connected with the incident, leading to the arrest of three men.

"All three, aged 25, 46 and 50, were arrested on suspicion of attempted theft, while the 50-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug, and the 46-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of driving without insurance. The men remain in police custody this morning, helping with our enquiries.
