Castle Douglas High School modern studies pupils meet MSPs

The Higher modern studies class at Castle Douglas High has been fortunate enough to have two MSPs visit since the start of term.

Both Finlay Carson and Emma Harper faced questions from the young people on different voting systems, how the government is held to account, the way in which citizens can become involved in politics and arguments regarding Scottish independence.

Young people were given some great examples to use in their class work and were praised by both MSPs for their questions and engagement.
