Yahoo News Casualty drama as Connie and Steph come face-to-face
Casualty is lining up a huge moral dilemma for show favourite Connie Beauchamp when she comes face to face with her arch-enemy Steph this weekend.
Fans will remember that Steph was the driving force (quite literally) behind Connie and Grace's horrific car accident last summer, after she chased the medic off the road, plunging over a cliff.
Steph wanted to avenge Connie for reporting her to social services for abusing her young daughter Carmel, but the car chase had more devastating consequences than anyone could have imagined when Grace was left brain damaged as a result.
With Grace now back in hospital with speech problems, Connie is on a one-woman mission for justice, and fans have recently seen her request to visit Steph in prison.
Having agreed to drop her feud with fellow consultant Elle Gardener - who she previously blamed for her daughter's injuries - Connie is now shifting her anger onto Steph, who she wants to plead guilty to save Grace the anguish of a trial.
Connie does end up visiting Steph in prison, but their meeting doesn't go the way she hopes when Steph refuses to admit her guilt in the car accident and plans to go through with the trial as planned.
A later twist sees Steph end up in the ED, and these pictures show Connie faced with the prospect of having to help her. Will she let go of her anger and treat Steph? Or will her emotions get the better of her?
Casualty airs these scenes at 8.25pm on Saturday, February 25 on BBC One.
