Casualty spoilers follow.
Casualty has confirmed when it will be going off-air for an extended break.
With filming still suspended until next month, the BBC One drama's last episode for the time being will be broadcast this Saturday (August 22).
This follows news of Holby City's break, with the spin-off on hiatus after airing its last available episode on August 11.
Some details are out for Casualty's final episode this week, with Max McGerry paying a visit. Jacob Masters is also set to betray Connie Beauchamp – before the on-off couple share a passionate kiss.
Last week's episode saw Fenisha Khatri reveal the truth about her pregnancy to Jan Jenning.
Fenisha, who is four months pregnant, had told Ethan that she terminated their baby, but Ethan seems likely to discover what really happened at some stage.
Elsewhere, Holby City returned to filming in late July with a special coronavirus episode being planned.
BBC Studios' head of continuing drama Kate Oates said: "It's with great pleasure that we open the doors at Elstree to welcome back the exceptional cast and crew of Holby City.
"We have some gripping stories to tell as we explore how the lives of our characters have been irrevocably changed since the start of the pandemic – and how our heroes battle against the odds, come what may."
It's currently unclear if Casualty will follow suit and address the COVID-19 pandemic.
