Casualty has released a first-look trailer teasing all the action in store in its upcoming episodes as it counts down towards its explosive series finale.

Ahead of the soap's return to BBC One on Saturday (July 10) following a few weeks of schedule reshuffling, Casualty has shared an all-new trailer promising an action-packed few episodes to make up for the wait.

As well as sharing a first look at Holby City star Leslie Ash's return as Vanessa Lytton and her first encounter with a very unimpressed Charlie (Derek Thompson), the trailer has teased some big scenes ahead for Fenisha Khatri (Olivia D'Lima) and Ethan Hardy (George Rainsford) as they look set to rekindle their romance.

"He said you had feelings for me," Fenisha can be seen saying to Ethan, who reminds her that she's with Matthew (Osi Okerafor).

"What if it's not Matthew I want?" she counters, while Matthew watches on.

As Matthew later rages against Fenisha for letting him fall in love with her again, Ethan and Fenisha ultimately decide to throw caution to wind and get married, with the trailer hinting at trouble ahead as it ended on a scene of the couple dancing together while an ominous voice declares: "You two deserve each other."

Also in the trailer, viewers can see what's next for Lev as he faces some major decisions about his future and agrees to tell the police that he was the victim of a hate crime, before his father Anton's arrival throws his plans in doubt.

Meanwhile, it also looks like there are some explosive scenes ahead as Jacob Masters (Charles Venn) can be seen carrying someone away from a burning vehicle. Will everyone make it out of the series alive?
