Casualty's George Rainsford has some isolation jokes for you

From Digital Spy

Casualty actor George Rainsford, who plays Dr Ethan Hardy in the BBC drama, may be in isolation, but that doesn't mean he can't keep us all laughing. He's debuted a video of himself telling jokes.

The entertaining clip was shared by the official Casualty Twitter account today (April 8), with the caption: "Here's a message from George Rainsford @georgerainsford (aka Dr Ethan Hardy) to brighten your day. Anyone got any dad jokes to rival these?!"

In the clip, the actor is seen taking a walk in the sun, explaining that he is "just out having my rationed exercise" and that he wants to keep people entertained, "particularly those Casualty fans who are no longer in school".

His Casualty-inspired jokes include: "What do you call a hot drink that you can enjoy whilst self-isolating and relaxing in your house?" with the answer being "a casual tea".

Fans were loving his (dodgy) jokes, but they also advised him not to give up the day job – so it's unlikely we'll be seeing the actor make the move to comedy anytime soon.

This isn't the first time he's tried to brighten up self-isolation, though.

He previously quipped that he's struggling to stay away from the snacks while at home and joked that by the time the show starts filming again he might be "looking like Aunt Sponge from James & The Giant Peach".

The BBC announced in March that production on all its dramas, including EastEnders, Doctors, Holby City and Casualty, had been halted due to COVID-19.

Thankfully, the shows all still have episodes in the can and are still being aired for as long as possible, and there are some very exciting stories coming up in April for the Casualty characters.
