Cat Baffled by Reflection Makes Sure Friend Is Real

A cat in Ontario was left confused by his friend’s reflection, adorable footage posted to TikTok shows.

The video, captured by Maggie Ward from Hamilton, shows her cats Phineas, who is one, and Hector, who is seven, looking at themselves in the mirror.

Phineas, the ginger kitty, can be seen reaching out to touch Hector after spotting their reflection, as if to make sure he is really there.

Ward told Storyful that the pair are “best friends”, and while Hector’s never shown interest in the mirror, “Phin often wonders who the ‘other’ cat is.”
