A new cat café has opened in Kent offering the chance to enjoy a bite to eat while cuddling some cute kittens. Mrs Sloocombe’s Cat Café is now open in Chatham High Street, having taken over the former home of the Orchid Garden Chinese takeaway next to Jalove Caribbean Cuisine.

The cosy café officially launched on Saturday (January 25) and houses adorable cats of all shapes and sizes for customers to meet. Its menu features a variety of café classics including teas, coffees, sandwiches, wraps and paninis.

There are a variety of vegetarian and vegan options also. Ahead of the launch, Mrs Sloocombe’s underwent a food hygiene inspection and landed a rating of five, which is ‘very good’ - the highest grade achievable.
