Catastrophe finale pays sweet tribute to Carrie Fisher
The third series of Catastrophe ended tonight (April 4), marking the last appearance of the late Carrie Fisher on the sitcom.
The beloved actress and screenwriter tragically died in December last year after wrapping filming on the Channel 4 series, which served as a poignant tribute.
Tonight's episode covered themes of death, grief and alcoholism, as Sharon struggled to cope with a tragic loss and Rob had a relapse with his alcoholism.
As expected, the show ended with an in memoriam 'For Carrie' tribute during the closing credits, after a rather fitting farewell episode.
Better known as a comedy series, the episode was rather heavy-hitting tonight.
The ending also took a dramatic turn as Rob crashed his car, before admitting to Sharon he would't pass a breath test. However, viewers took to Twitter in their swarms to praise it.
Carrie in particular was at the forefront of a lot of viewers' minds, and here's what they had to think of it all.
Carrie Fisher dominated conversation on Twitter:
