The next Pokémon Go event brings Lugia back to Raid Battles for a limited time, but trainers are already reporting sightings of Shiny Lugia. Reddit user Starbreaker10 posted a photo of his Shiny Lugia capture over on The Silph Road subreddit. It shows the Legendary Pokémon Lugia in its signature pink Shiny Form. A better image and video posted on Twitter by @cannonjason confirms Shiny Lugia can be caught in Pokémon Go.
Lugia and Shiny Lugia will appear in Pokémon Go from March 16 to April 2 in Raid Battles. Unlike the Lugia that appeared alongside Zapdos, Moltres and Articuno back in 2017, this one has a buffed Sky Attack in it's moveset. Sky Attack in Pokémon Go is usually 70 base power but this one has been pumped up to 80 base power.
With the inclusion of Shiny Lugia, Pokémon Go now has 25 Shiny Pokémon available to catch in-game. The list of Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Go include: Pichu, Pikachu, Raichu, Shuppet, Banette, Duskull, Dusclops, Snorunt, Glalie, Dratini, Dragonair, Dragonite, Aron, Lairon, Aggron, Poochyena, Mightyena, Magikarp, Gyarados, Sableye, Luvdisc, Swablu, Altaria, Mawile and Absol.
