He was caught by police after what he was seen wearing near One Stop Shop
A man wearing a balaclava made out of tights was caught near the scene of a corner shop break-in. At around 1.30am on Thursday, September 26, it was reported that two men had broken into One Stop Shop, on Heyworth Street in Everton, and a large number of cigarettes had been taken.
Officers attended the scene and managed to find a man nearby, who was wearing a balaclava made out of tights and had several cuts on his hands. Around an hour later, a second man was spotted by officers on Thrilmere Road and he was covered in dust and had pieces of glass on the treads of his shoes.

Two men, aged 47 and 36, both from Liverpool, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary. They remain in police custody. Detective Inspector Chris Carlin said: “Thanks to the fast response from officers, we were able to arrest two people on suspicion of burglary soon after we received reports that a shop had been broken into.
"I hope these arrests show how seriously we take reports of burglary in Merseyside and how we are determined to find anyone suspected as being involved in this type of offence. Stealing from a business is not a victimless crime.
"It can have a huge impact not only the people who work there, but also the community who rely on these businesses. If you have any information about a burglary in your area, please let us know and we will take action.”
