Celebrity Big Brother's Sarah Harding has avoided directly referring to former Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl throughout her time in the house, until a candid conversation on Wednesday.

Before the latest highlights show, Sarah acknowledged that she'd completely lost touch with most of her fellow Girls Aloud stars, although she was reluctant to confirm notorious rumours of a Cheryl feud.

However, she became surprisingly animated tonight in conversation with Amelia Lily when the former X Factor star asked if Cheryl is as "private" a person as she seems.

"She tries to be," Sarah answered. "She just knows how to work it when she wants to, when she wants to be seen she is, and when she doesn't, she makes sure she isn't. Like with the whole baby thing. She just plans things meticulously."

The singer added of Cheryl: "She's savvy, I'd give her that."

Later in the night, Sarah opened up in the Diary Room about how Girls Aloud's highly-publicised split in 2013 dramatically changed her life.

"My confidence was severely knocked over the last five or six years, especially since the band ended," she admitted. "No-one really tells you what to do when you've been up there for a majority of years.

"I had a lot of crazy, life-changing scenarios happen during that time, and then all of a sudden, it's gone. I hugely underestimated how big we were, when we were because I was in a bubble. I do miss them. I do miss them. But we're grown up now.

"Most of them are getting married and having kids, which is what I want to do."

Whether she'll find that happiness with fellow housemate Chad Johnson remains to be seen, considering they seem to alternate between fighting and hooking up on the hour.

Celebrity Big Brother continues on Thursday (August 24) at 9pm on Channel 5, followed by Rylan Clark-Neal with Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side at 11.05pm.
